| Pradyek Tiniil : " Putting our feet on their ground” |
| is a project that aims at raising 100,000 pairs of slippers for pupils of the different public schools in Cagayan de Oro. However, its primary goal is to really maintain the spirit of bayanihan that is already in the hearts of every Kagay-anon. Pradyek Tiniil is our way of telling others that we are in bayanihan even if there is no tragedy. The highlight of the Project will be on November 30, 2012, in celebration of Bonfiacio Day. Thousands of volunteers from the Couples for Christ – Gawad Kalinga Community, Pilipinas Natin, Gawad Kalinga, and other Non-Government Organizations along with volunteers from our corporate partners such as BMW, KIA Motors, SUN Cellular, and SM Cagayan de Oro and also students from different high schools, colleges and universities will gather in SM City Cagayan de Oro barefoot to formally launch the project and to showcase the Bayanihan Spirit among advocates. There will be a program from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Local artists and personalities will also be there to make the event more colourful. The distribution of the slippers gathered will be done in December by the volunteers in time for their schools’ Christmas parties. |
